Volunteer Requirements
Each Team should have a number of volunteers in various roles. The importance of a Volunteer to a Team is a thankless job at times, but is extremely rewarding in the self-satisfaction that one has after completion of his or her involvement! As a Coach, the involvement of a Volunteer on or off the ice is irreplaceable and for the most part, much needed!
Volunteers must remember that what ever is asked of them, is for the good of the Team.
As a guideline, Volunteers should .....
- be available to help when needed, not when they feel like it;
- be on time and be prepared for that commitment;
- be patient, as in everything else, the wheel turns slowly at the top and some things take time in occurring; and
- have FUN! Keep that SMILE ON! Be supportive no matter what the outcome!! Encourage SPORTSMANSHIP; and
- lastly KNOW that your help is GREATLY APPRECIATED, even thought sometimes it is not said or given!!
